We make our Wootz Damascus Steel out of our proprietary mixture of iron ores, steels, and crystal-forming alloying metals. Then we patiently forge the resulting ingot puck into blades that show a variety of Wootz patterning. These blades are not only beautiful, but remarkably tough. Since we do not use patterns or jigs, each of our blades is unique, its formation growing naturally out of the character of the steel. We do, however, produce several distinct shapes and weights, in sort of families of knives.
